Utility Consumers Rights.
As Ameren and Spire seek rate increases, a strong coalition of groups is seeking to organize consumers to resist these increases and to improve the treatment of consumers by the utilities.

Subject: [External] DRT Canvassing Volunteers Needed!
Good Morning,
I wanted to share a volunteer canvassing opportunity: Community canvassing in the 22nd Ward to spread the word about the Defund. Re-envision. Transform. and Close the Workhouse campaigns! At this time we need more volunteers! Can you join or help spread the word?
FTF is a member of the Defund. Re-envision. Transform. coalition. Alongside our partners Action St. Louis, ArchCity Defenders, and CAPCR (the Coalition Against Police Crimes and Repression), we are advocating for the transformation of St. Louis' public safety system and the establishment of holistic violence prevention programs in place of the over-policing and surveillance that currently permeates communities across the region.
The Community Canvass will take place on August 28, 2021 from 10-1pm. You can sign-up here and should expect further event details a few days before the canvass.
Please be advised that COVID protocols, including appropriate social distancing and mask wearing will be practiced for the duration of the event.
In partnership,
LadyAshley Gregory (she/they)
